the vector project was a happy accident during a challenging time of my life. in the process of trying to fix an uneven traditional dye-job (heat on stovetop) i lost patience and introduced acetone. no luck. i lost more patience and threw dye on the figure and drenched it with acetone. when i revisited this figure, something beatufiul didnt happen, but something happened enough to make me want to recreate the action. i began to experiment with different colors, different types of dyes and inks, different strengths of acetone products, and different angles and approaches. the vector project became a project of patience, intentional execution, and a means of experimenting with the bounds of something i love the most; sofubi, and all of the exciting avenues its taken me down.

this is by no means the end of hand marbled sofubi by yours truly; this is just the end of the initial stages of experimentation with this particular technique, and i wanted to make sure that the 20 pieces dedicated to the technique were signed and numbered, and not to be forgotten as the first and few of their kind.
